Here’s To Beirut

The Beirut Heritage Initiative

TBWA\RAAD supported The Beirut Heritage Initiative (BHI) by raising funds to help rebuild some of Beirut’s heritage buildings which were destroyed by the explosion that shook the city on August 4th 2020, and were still unrepaired, a year after the tragedy.

“Here’s to Beirut” symbolizes the city’s unbreakable spirit, portrayed through a set of handmade drinking glasses made of recycled glass collected from Beirut’s historical buildings. Why glasses? Because everyone buying those glasses should drink to Beirut’s good health and to a more peaceful future for its people and its neighbourhoods. These limited-edition sets can be purchased online at and delivered worldwide. All proceeds go to the restoration efforts led by BHI.

Lebanon has one of the slowest internet speeds in the world. Unfortunately, there was nothing that the people could do, as the telecommunications market in the country has always been dominated by two main players: MTC Touch and Alfa.
